'At least Cruella de Vil was making a coat': Daily Show roasts Noem for dead dog defense

  (Raw Story) : The Daily Show delivered a blunt message to South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as she deals with backlash over boasts about gunning down her family dog: "Even Cruella de Vil was like, 'At least I was making a coat.'" Noem, among running mate hopefuls considered by former President Donald Trump, was subjected to repeated mockery Monday night from host Jordan Klepper. "The top thing is to not shoot your puppy," Klepper told Noem. "You can't just go around executing puppies saying, 'That's that's life on a farm.' It's a farm, not international waters. " Noem has repeatedly defended her decisions to both shoot 14-month-old Cricket and then share the experience in a memoir entitled "No Going Back." "Nobody forced her to tell anybody these stories" Klepper quipped. "Was 'No Going Back' supposed to be the title — or was that what her editors said when they read this section?"
