'It's going to backfire': Legal analyst flattens Trump lawyers' Stormy Daniels strategy

  (Raw Story) : Reacting to reports that attorneys for Donald Trump plan to aggressively go after adult film star Stormy Daniels as she takes the stand again in the Manhattan hush money trial, a former federal prosecutor appearing on CNN suggested it would be a strategic misfire. According to Jennifer Rogers, who formerly served as the Chief of the Organized Crime Unit in the Southern District of New York, harassing the adult film star and asking her more about her interactions with Trump will be detrimental to the former president's case. Asked by CNN host Kate Bolduan if it is a risky strategy, Rogers replied, "Yeah, I think it's a mistake, Kate. I mean, they thought would stay clear of the details of the actual tryst itself. It's incredibly embarrassing to the former president and the more detail she gives, the more likely it is that the jurors think that she's telling the truth, right?" He [Trump] is not attractive to me. He's old,'" she elaborated. "It also potentially gives the prosecution the opportunity to call another witness who can corroborate that she told them at the time that this had happened."
